Project Description

Replacement of single span bridge carrying Friendsville Road (MD 42) over Buffalo Run in Garrett County, Maryland.  Multi-phase construction utilizing a temporary bridge and temporary traffic signals.  Stream diversion channel and temporary excavation support installed.  Drilled micro piles for abutment footers and wingwalls founded on spread footers.  Installation of underground utility conduits, roadway drainage upgrades, landscaping, signing, pavement markings, and construction of offsite storm management facility in the US 219/I-68 interchange.
