Project Description

This project is for the replacement of two existing structures with two box culverts on SR 253 in Cambria County. The existing Metal Plate Arch Culvert which carries SR 253 over Muddy Run is replaced with a 19’ x 9’-6” Precast RC Box Culvert. The existing Metal Plate Arch Culvert which carries SR 253 over Curtis Run is replaced with a 10’ 6” x 9’-6” Precast RC Box Culvert.

  • Replacement of two box culverts in an accelerated 14 day period
  • Muddy Run Culvert – 9 precast box sections and 4 precast wing sections
  • Curtis Run Culvert – 5 precast box sections and 2 precast end sections
  • 750 CY Class III Excavation
  • 250 CY Selected Borrow Excavation Rock
  • 200 CY Flowable Backfill
